Laureate and cuirassed bust right / Mars standing right, holding reversed spear and resting hand on shield set on ground to right; –|–//PLN. Very rare.

Per Lee Toone: “A very rare reverse type for this period. The series of which this coin type is a part was only struck for a month or so at the end of 307 just before Constantine I became Augustus and is thought to celebrate the alliance between Maximian and Constantine.” For further information see C&T pp. 48-49.
