GERMANY, Uncertain. 11th or 12th centuries. AR Pfennig (21mm, 0.67 g, 2h). Cathedral with three towers; cross pattée and annulets in arches / + MVCOVVICVS IMI, plain cross; alternating lis and pellets in angles. Toned, faint ghosting. Near VF.

The reverse legend appears to be distantly derived from the deniers of Louis the Pious. This basic cathedral type was extensively used in Austria and Germany.
