THRACE, Byzantion. Circa 90-80 BC. AR Tetradrachm (32mm, 16.26 g, 11h). In the name and types of Lysimachos. Diademed head of the deified Alexander right, with horn of Ammon / Athena Nikephoros seated left, left arm resting on shield, transverse spear in background; monogram to inner left, BY below throne, ornate trident in exergue. Callataÿ Group 3 var. (unlisted monogram); Müller –; HGC 3, 1406. Lightly toned. Good VF.

Although the monogram is unlisted, the style of the obverse is identical to that found on the earlier obverse dies of Callataÿ’s Group 3 issues.
