Helmeted head of Athena right, with profile eye / Owl standing right, head facing, closed tail feathers; olive spray and crescent to left, traces of letters (MZDK = Mazakes[?], in Aramaic) to right. Van Alfen, Owls, Group Ic, 68 and 70 (same dies). Lightly toned, roughness and numerous small cleaning marks, test cut on obverse. Good Fine. Rare. |
