Claudius. AD 41-54. Æ Dupondius (29.5mm, 14.46 g, 6h). Uncertain Iberian mint. Struck AD 41-42. Bare head left / Ceres seated left on ornamental throne, holding two stalks of grain and long torch. Besombes & Barrandon, “Nouvelles propositions de classement des monnaies de «bronze» de Claude Ier,” in RN 2000, pl. VI, 4, engraver B; cf. RIC I 94; cf. von Kaenel Type 58. Dark green patina, worn in places, some corrosion on reverse. VF.
