Claudius II Gothicus. AD 268-270. Lot of two (2) Antoniniani. Includes:

1) (18mm, 3.79 g, 6h). Mediolanum (Milan) mint, 1st officina. Struck circa September-mid 269 268 AD. Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind / Spes walking left, holding flower and hem of dress; P. RIC V 168; RIC V Online 26. Normanby 1004. Toned partial silvering and brown patina, some pitting. VF.

2) (19.5mm, 3.35 g, 12h). Siscia mint, 2nd officina. Struck end AD 269. Radiate, heroic bust left, with cross belt, seen from behind, holding shield over left shoulder and spear forward with right hand / Spes standing left, holding flower and raising hem of dress; II to left. RIC V 191 var. (bust type); RIC V Online 716. Normanby –. Dark green-brown patina, slightly off center, a couple metal flaws. VF. Very rare.
