Crowned facing bust, wearing loros, holding eagle-tipped scepter / Large I; cross to left, I (date) to right; CON. DOC 13; MIB 23; SB 1457. Brown patina. Near VF. Very rare. Overstruck on an uncertain bronze issue of Justinian II, with Tiberius (Second Reign) with Justinian’s bust quite visible on the obverse to the right amidst the scepter, especially when rotated 180 degrees. |
