1) MOESIA INFERIOR, Nicopolis ad Istrum. Macrinus. AD 217-218. Æ Tetrassarion. Statius Longinus, legatus Augusti pro praetore. Laureate and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind / River-god Istros reclining left, looking right, resting left hand on urn from which water flows, placing right hand on prow of ship. HH&J, Nikopolis; 8.23.32.7; AMNG 1761; Varbanov 3465. Green patina, light roughness. VF. Purportedly ex Edgar L. Owen 41 (11 March 1999).

2) MOESIA INFERIOR, Nicopolis ad Istrum. Macrinus. AD 217-218. Æ Tetrassarion (27mm, 14.02 g, 6h). Marcus Claudius Agrippa, legatus Augusti pro praetore. AYK OΠΠEΛ C EYH MAKPINOC, laureate and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind / River-god Istros seated left, holding reed and resting elbow on shield, placing right hand on prow of ship. HH&J, Nikopolis 8.23.32.4 var. (obv. legend and bust); AMNG –; Varbanov –. Brown patina, roughness. Near VF. Extremely rare, this obverse die is previously unknown for this series.

3) MOESIA INFERIOR, Nicopolis ad Istrum. Macrinus. AD 217-218. Æ Tetrassarion (25mm, 12.85 g, 12h). Statius Longinus, legatus Augusti pro praetore. River-god Istros reclining left, holding tree and resting elbow on urn from which water flows. HH&J 8.23.32.10; AMNG –; Varbanov –. Yellow-brown patina, patches of find patina remaining. Good Fine.

4) MOESIA INFERIOR, Nicopolis ad Istrum. Macrinus. AD 217-218. Æ Tetrassarion (27mm, 14.08 g, 12h). Marcus Claudius Agrippa, legatus Augusti pro praetore. [AV K] OΠΠEΛ CE VH MAK[PINOC], laureate head right / River-god Istros seated left, holding reed and resting elbow on shield, prow of ship in background. HH&J, Nikopolis 8.23.32.3 var. (obv. legend); AMNG –; Varbanov –. Rough brown patina. Good Fine. Extremely rare, this obverse die is previously known for this series.

5) MOESIA INFERIOR, Nicopolis ad Istrum. Macrinus. AD 217-218. Æ Tetrassarion (26mm, 11.50 g, 7h). Statius Longinus, legatus Augusti pro praetore. Laureate head right / Mountain-god Haimos seated left on rocks, holding tree and branch. HH&J 8.23.43.9; AMNG 1765 var. (rev. legend); Varbanov –. Brown patina with green highlights, metal flaw on obverse. Near VF. Rare. For Lot: Fine-VF. LOT SOLD AS IS, NO RETURNS. Five (5) coins in lot.
