1) THRACE, Augusta Traiana. Caracalla. AD 198-217. Æ Pentassarion (30mm, 17.66 g, 1h). Struck AD 205-209/10. Laureate and draped bust left, holding spear and shield decorated with gorgoneion / River-god Hebrus reclining left, holding patera and reed, resting elbow on urn from which water flows. Schönert-Geiss, Augusta Traiana – (V130/R263 [unrecorded die pair]); Varbanov 1191. Green patina, rough obverse. VF. Rare variety.

2) THRACE, Augusta Traiana. Caracalla. AD 198-217. Æ Pentassarion (30mm, 18.40 g, 12h). Struck AD 211/12-217. Laureate and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind / River-god Hebrus reclining left, head right, holding branch and resting elbow on urn from which water flows; above, hill surmounted by city gate with three towers. Schönert-Geiss, Augusta Traiana 295 (V100/R254); Varbanov 1186. Earthen green patina, scratches. Good Fine.

3) THRACE, Augusta Traiana. Caracalla. AD 198-217. Æ Pentassarion (30mm, 18.41 g, 12h). Struck AD 211/12-217. Laureate and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind / River-god Hebrus reclining left, head right, holding branch and resting elbow on urn from which water flows; above, hill surmounted by city gate with three towers. Schönert-Geiss, Augusta Traiana 330 (V106/R284); Varbanov 1188. Yellow-brown surfaces, porosity, minor deposits. Near VF.

4) THRACE, Augusta Traiana. Caracalla. AD 198-217. Æ Pentassarion (30mm, 15.30 g, 12h). Laureate head right / River-god Hebrus reclining left, head right, holding branch and resting elbow on urn from which water flows; above, hill surmounted by city gate with three towers. Schönert-Geiss, Augusta Traiana 331 (V106/R285); Varbanov 1188. Rough brown patina. Near Fine. Rare variety.

5) THRACE, Augusta Traiana. Geta. AD 209-211. Æ Pentassarion (30mm, 14.89 g, 6h). Laureate bust right, draped left shoulder / River-god Hebrus reclining left, head right, holding branch and resting elbow on urn from which water flows; above, hill surmounted by city gate with three towers. Schönert-Geiss, Augusta Traiana 472 (V138/R397); Varbanov 1353. Brown patina, flan crack. Near VF.

6) THRACE, Augusta Traiana. Geta. AD 209-211. Æ Pentassarion (31mm, 15.90 g, 6h). Laureate bust right, draped left shoulder / River-god Hebrus reclining left, head right, holding branch and resting elbow on urn from which water flows; above, hill surmounted by city gate with three towers. Schönert-Geiss, Augusta Traiana 472 (V138/R397); Varbanov 1353. Brown patina, flan crack, roughness, small deposits. Fine.

7) THRACE, Augusta Traiana. Geta. AD 209-211. Æ Pentassarion (30mm, 16.85 g, 6h). Struck AD 029/10-211/12. Laureate and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind / River-god Hebrus seated left, head right, holding branch and resting elbow on urn from which water flows; below, small boat. Schönert-Geiss, Augusta Traiana 451 var. (V142/R–; unrecorded rev. die); Varbanov –. Green patina with earthen highlights, light roughness. Near VF. Unpublished variety.

8) THRACE, Augusta Traiana. Geta. AD 209-211. Æ Assarion (18mm, 2.72 g, 12h). Laureate and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind, wearing aegis on back / River-god Hebrus reclining left, head right, holding branch and resting elbow on urn from which water flows. Schönert-Geiss, Augusta Traiana 504 (V146/R424); Varbanov 1355. Yellow-brown surfaces, porosity, flan crack. Near VF. Very rare. For Lot: Fine-Near VF. LOT SOLD AS IS, NO RETURNS.
