1) BITHYNIA, Nicaea. Caracalla. AD 198-217. Æ Diassarion (27mm, 9.94 g, 6h). ANTΩNINOC AYΓOYCTOC, laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind / NIKAIЄΩN CAΓAPIC, River-god Sagaris reclining left, head right, holding laurel branch and cornucopia. RG –. Unpublished. Brown surfaces, roughness. Good Fine. Extremely rare, unpublished.

2) BITHYNIA, Nicaea. Caracalla. Caesar, AD 196-198. Æ Diassarion (27mm, 12.43 g, 6h). M AYPHΛ ANTΩNINOC KAICAP, bareheaded, draped, and cuirassed bust right, seen from the front; c/m: laureate bust right within oval incuse / NIKAIЄΩN, Tyche seated left on rocks, wearing kalathos, holding grain ears, right hand on rock; at feet, river-god Sagaris swimming left. RG –. Unpublished. For c/m: Howgego 65. Brown patina, light porosity, scratches. Near VF. Extremely rare, unpublished.

3) BITHYNIA, Prusias ad Hypium. Commodus. AD 177-192. Æ Assarion (21mm, 4.94 g, 7h). AYT K M AYP KOMMOΔOC ANTΩNЄINOC, bare head right / ΠPOYCIЄΩN ΠPOC YΠIΩ, river-god Hypius reclining left, holding branch and resting elbow on urn from which water flows. RG –; RPC IV.1 Online 11801 var. (bust). Brown patina, roughness. Fine. Rare and unpublished variety.

4) BITHYNIA, Prusias ad Hypium. Julia Domna. Augusta, AD 193-217. Æ Diassarion (27mm, 11.74 g, 7h). IOYΛIA ΔOMNA CЄBAC, draped bust right; c/ms: H (mark of value), laureate bust right, both in circular incuse / KIEPOC YΠIOC ΠPOVCIEΩN, at center, uncertain diety (Poseidon?) standing on base (or prow?); to left, river-god Kieros reclining left, holding reed and resting elbow on urn from which water flows; to right, river-god Hypios reclining right, holding cornucopia and statue(?), resting elbow on urn from which water flows. RG –. Unpublished. For c/ms: Howgego 822; Howgego 68. Brown patina, roughness. Near Fine. Extremely rare. A similar type is known for Antoninus Pius, from only one example.

5) BITHYNIA, Prusias ad Hypium. Faustina Junior. Augusta, AD 147-175. Æ Assarion (19.5mm, 6.22 g, 6h). ΦAYCTЄINA CЄBACTH, draped bust right / ΠPOYCIЄΩN ΠPOC YΠIΩ, river-god Hypius reclining left, holding branch and resting elbow on urn from which water flows. RG –. Unpublished. Red-brown patina, porosity. Fine. Very rare, unpublished.

6) BITHYNIA, Tium. Gallienus. AD 253-268. Æ Tetrassarion (24mm, 8.51 g, 1h). Π Λ ΓAΛΛH[NOC CЄB], laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind / TIANΩN, river-god Ballaios reclining left, right hand holds a rod which touches the prow of, left holds a reed and resting elbow on urn from which water flows. RG 177 var. (obv. legend, seen from the front); SNG BN 767 var. (same); SNG von Aulock 1040. Green patina, roughness, scratches on reverse. Near VF. Very rare.

7) CARIA, Harpasa. Marcus Aurelius. As Caesar, AD 139-161. Æ (23mm, 8.11 g, 6h). Leonidus, magistrate. Bare head right / River-god Harpasos reclining left, holding reed and cornucopia; behind, water urn from from which water flows. Delrieux, Cités HP/10 corr. (D12/R18; laureate, legend as augustus); RPC IV.2 online 9233. Green patina, roughness. Fine. Very rare, only two known to RPC.

8) CARIA, Stratonicaea. temp. Gordian III. AD 238-244. Æ (26mm, 5.32 g, 6h). Turreted and draped bust of Tyche right / River-god Kaikos reclining left, holding reed and resting elbow on urn from which water flows. RPC VII.1 188A; SNG von Aulock 3184. Brown patina, roughness.
