MACEDON, Olynthos. Circa 460-432 BC. AR Tetrobol (14mm, 2.55 g, 10h). Bridled horse standing right; Ionic column in background, flower to upper left / Eagle, holding serpent in beak, upright within incuse square. Robinson & Clement p. 294, 2 (A1/P2); AMNG III/2, 1; HGC 3, 597. Attractive iridescent tone, minor die wear. Good VF. Excellent metal for this typically granular issue.
