ATTICA, Athens. Circa 165-42 BC. AR Tetradrachm (35mm, 16.73 g, 12h). New Style coinage. Struck 165-150/149 BC. Helmeted head of Athena Parthenos right / Owl standing right, head facing, on amphora; magistrates’ monograms in fields. Thompson 11 (but same obv. die as 14); HGC 4, 1602. Toned, porous, slight wave at edge of flan, area of weak strike. VF. Well centered on a broad flan.
