Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin / Zeus Aëtophoros seated left; in left field, sphinx seated left, raising forepaw, above monogram; monogram below throne. Bauslaugh, Posthumous, Series 39, dies 46/89, but rev. die re-engraved with different monogram in left field; Price 2372 var. (monogram); HGC 6, 1132; National Numismatic Collection, Amsterdam DNB GR-02879 var. (same dies, but with original monogram). Roughness, scrapes, scratches, struck with worn reverse die. VF. Unpublished and extremely rare with new monogram. |
