LUCANIA, Metapontion. Circa 290-280 BC. AR Nomos (21.5mm, 7.73 g, 9h). Wreathed head of Demeter left; ΔI below neck / Barley ear with leaf to left; above leaf, Satyr standing right, playing pipes. Johnston Class D, 2.5 corr. (same dies; ΔI not noted); HN Italy 1614. Toned, underlying luster, slight doubling, minor die wear. Good VF. Very rare, only one example from one die pair noted by Johnston.
