AEOLIS, Aegae. Second half of 2nd century AD. Æ (17mm, 2.11 g, 6h). Struck circa AD 150-200. Draped bust of the founder Menestheus right, behind, olive branch / Three poppies between four ears of grain. RPC IV.2 Online 1800; BMC 31-3; SNG von Aulock 1609. Green patina with earthen deposits, cleaning scratches. Near VF. Very rare.
