MYSIA, Kyzikos. Circa 550-450 BC. Fourrée Hekte – Sixth Stater (10.5mm, 1.95 g). Hoplite, nude but for crested helmet, kneeling left, bow hanging from arm, testing arrow; to right, tunny upward / Quadripartite incuse square. For prototype: cf. Von Fritze I 116; cf. Boston MFA 1485 = Warren 1513. Scratches, breaks in plating that expose core. Good VF.
