Laelianus. Romano-Gallic Usurper, AD 269. Antoninianus (19mm, 2.31 g, 12h). Colonia Agrippinensis (Cologne) mint. 1st emission, Spring AD 269. Radiate and cuirassed bust right / Victory running right, holding wreath and palm frond. RIC V 9; CGE 532.88 (this coin); Gilljam dies –/53 (unlisted obv. die); AGK 1c; CNG 78, 1827 (same dies). Glossy dark brown patina with some green at edge, hairline flan crack. Near EF. Great detail for issue, especially in Victory’s face.
