PERSIA, Achaemenid Empire. temp. Darios I to Darios III. Circa 505-336 BC. AR Fraction (5mm, 0.19 g). Uncertain mint in Asia Minor. Head of Persian king or hero, quiver over shoulder / Incuse punch. Klein 759; Winzer 1.1 (both as Darios I). Lightly toned, faint porosity. Good VF. Rare.

Although Winzer and Klein both give this issue to the time of Darios I, the obverse type here is composed of elements that are present on all issues of Achaemenid sigloi.
