MACEDON, Republican period. First Meris. Circa 167-149 BC. AR Tetradrachm (31mm, 16.89 g, 9h). Amphipolis mint. Struck 2nd half of 2nd century BC. Diademed and draped bust of Artemis right, bow and quiver over shoulder, in the center of a Macedonian shield / Club; monogram above; all within oak wreath, thunderbolt to left. Prokopov, Silver, Group II, – (Unlisted dies); HGC 3, 1103. Lightly toned, minor scratches and marks, peripheral weakness. VF.
