EGYPT, Alexandria. Gordian III. AD 238-244. Potin Tetradrachm (23.5mm, 11.71 g, 11h). Dated RY 5 (AD 241/2). Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right, seen from the front / Laureate bust of Zeus right, slight drapery on left shoulder; L Є (date) across field. Köln –; Dattari (Savio) 4789 var. (obv. legend and bust type); K&G 72.120 var. (same); RPC VII.2 3820.2 (this coin); Emmett 3432.5 (R4). Grey-brown patina, minor marks, die crack on reverse. Good VF. Very rare.
