Northern France. Circa AD 1440. Leaf (2.80”x3.74”). Medieval Book of Hours. Illuminated leaf containing Psalm 109: 1 in the Vulgate on one side. With ornate floral decoration on one side and illumination around capital letters. From a prayer book worthy of someone of some means for the time. Gold, red, blue, and white illumination. Ink intact. Slight browning and minor tears at edge, faint spacing markings visible, old price and code penciled in at lower margin. VF.
