THRACE, Deultum. Gordian III. AD 238-244. Æ Tetrassarion (23mm, 8.15 g, 7h). Struck circa AD 240. Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind / She-wolf standing right, head left, suckling the twins Romulus and Remus. Draganov 1401-3 (O116/R67); Jurukova, Deultum 363 corr. (obv. legend); RPC VII.2 858; Varbanov 2870. Red-brown patina, smoothing, cleaning scratches. VF. Very rare.
