Northern France, Paris. Circa AD 1440. Leaf (2.80”x3.74”). Medieval Book of Hours. Illuminated leaf containing prayers with a reading of Romans 11: 33-36 between. Decorated with lovely floral decoration around. From a prayer book worthy of someone of some means for the time. Attractive gold, blue, red, and white illumination. Good ink, quite clear and readable. Slight browning and tiny tears at edge, old price and code penciled in at lower margin. Good VF.
