Northern France, Paris. Circa AD 1440. Leaf (4.33”x6.30”). Medieval Book of Hours. Illuminated leaf containing Psalm 18: 3-11 in the Vulgate. From a prayer book worthy of someone of some means for the time. A wonderful large part of a Psalm of David. Gold, red, blue, and white illumination. Ink intact and readable. Slight browning and residual adhesive at edge, some wrinkling, old price and code penciled in at lower margin. VF.
