Unknown to Bernardi, the only other recorded dinar from this mint and date appears to be the piece sold in 2019 (for €3,800 hammer), cited above. Another dinar dated AH 226 and described as being from Damascus was evidently a coin of Surra man ra’a (St James’s Auctions 55, 26 January 2022, lot 16)
