Nicol —; Jeselsohn —. Fine, on a buckled flan with some striking weakness. Of the highest rarity, apparently unpublished.

Nicol records no half-dirhams for al-Mu‘izz from the mint of Filastin. The unit of the date on this specimen is illegible, but was probably ‘9’ for AH 359, this being the first year in which Fatimid coins were struck at the mint. The significance of the ‘S’ symbol in the centres is not clear.
