Paulus(?). Bishop, circa 6th-8th Centuries. PB Seal (23.5mm, 10.59 g, 12h). Uncertain nimbate facing saint / ΠAVΛ(OV) (?) EΠICKOΠ(OV) in the form of a cruciform monogram. Cf. BLS pl. 232, 120 and 126 (for similar EΠICKOΠ(OV) monogram solutions). Gray patina. VF. An uncertain bishop, though with a name present given the extra A in the solution. Perhaps a variation of Paul.
