OIL LAMP. Holyland. Islamic Dynasties. 7th-10th Cent. CE. A simple molded oil lamp with two large holes; one central to lid, the second on the nozzle. A handle extends from the back of the lamp, with ridges present, but significantly worn. Red slip still somewhat present, as is blackening of the nozzle from use. Worn molded pattern present on underside of lamp also present.
