SCARAB. Egyptian. Late Dynastic – Ptolemaic. 664 – 32 BCE. (40 mm wide x 45 mm tall x 15 mm thick). A naturalistic heart scarab in green faience. Fine details present over the carving defining major features. On the bottom of the scarab, a loop for attaching the scarab to ritual linens. Minor chipping at points, but otherwise a fine example of type. Very Attractive.
