SICILY, Syracuse(?). Æ Sestertius (32mm, 12.58 g). Countermarks applied during the reign of Tiberius, AD 14-37. Deity standing left, wearing crescent headdress, in an oval countermark, and radiate helmet right, in a circular countermark, on a bronze sestertius of Augustus. Pangerl 65 and 66. Rough green and brown patina. Host Poor, c/m’s Fine.
