GALATIA, Koinon of Galatia(?). Æ (27mm, 13.14 g). Countermark applied mid-late 1st century AD. Sphinx seated left in circular countermark on a bronze of Nero and Poppaea from the Koinon of Galatia. Howgego –. Dark green patina with traces of red, some earthen highlights/deposits, some roughness. Host Near Fine, c/m VF.
