Bearded head of Zeus right, wearing laurel wreath; monogram to left / Eagle, with closed wings, standing right on thunderbolt; AΠEI-PΩTAN at sides; all within wreath. Franke Group II, Series 2, 52–3 var. (V–/R38 [unlisted obv. die]); HGC 3, 171; BM 1866,1201.1458 (same rev. die). Bright surface, minor flan flaw on reverse. Superb EF.
