Severus Alexander. AD 222-235. Æ As (26mm, 10.82 g, 12h). Rome mint. 11th emission, AD 230. Laureate bust right, slight drapery / Sol standing facing, head left, raising right hand and holding whip in left. RIC IV 502; BMCRE 628-9; Mazzini 390 (this coin). Attractive green patina with traces of brown, slight roughness, small spot of old corrosion on reverse. Good VF. Very rare.
