Allectus. Romano-British Emperor, AD 293-296. Quinarius (18mm, 2.41 g, 12h). Londinium (London) mint. Radiate and cuirassed bust right / Neptune, holding anchor, seated left on galley; QL. RIC 59 corr. (bust type; this coin cited); Rogiet –; Burnett, Coinage 106; W. Allen, “Find of Coins of Allectus, at Old Ford, BOW” in NC 1866, pp. 304-6 (this coin published and illustrated). Dark green patina, tiny wax deposit. VF. Extremely rare even over 150 years after the coin was initially published.
