Constantius II. AD 337-361. AV Solidus (21mm, 4.29 g, 11h). Arelate (Arles) mint. Struck AD 355-360. Pearl-diademed, helmeted, and cuirassed bust facing slightly right, holding spear over shoulder and shield / Roma seated facing, holding spear, and Constantinopolis seated left, holding scepter and resting foot on prow, supporting between them a shield inscribed VOT/ XXX/ MVLT/ XXXX in four lines; *//•KONS(TAN). RIC VIII 238; Depeyrot 7/1. Toned, ex-jewelry, trace deposits. VF. Very rare. R3 in RIC VIII. Only five noted in Depeyrot’s 2004 corpus, three of which are in museum collections.
