Majorian. AD 457-461. AR Half Siliqua (10mm, 0.39 g, 6h). Uncertain mint in Northern Gaul. [...]RIANVS P [...], helmeted, [draped, and cuirassed] bust right / [...] VIT, Victory standing left, holding long cross; *•*. Cf. RIC X 2651-2 (for possible obv. legends within issue); cf. RSC 8†b (for most similar issue). Toned, heavily chipped, minor roughness, find patina. Near VF. Very rare. From a very interesting and exceptionally difficult issue.
