CILICIA, Tarsos. Circa 410-385 BC. AR Stater (21.5mm, 10.56 g, 7h). Satrap on horseback riding right; ankh-like symbol to right / Hoplite, wearing Corinthian helmet, holding spear and round shield, kneeling right; ankh to lower left; all in dotted square within shallow incuse square. Casabonne Type F5 var. (symbols on opposite sides); Müseler, Tarsos, Group 5f var. (same); SNG BN 219–20 var. (same); SNG Levante –. Toned, die wear on obverse, slightly off center on reverse. VF. Rare variety.
