EGYPT, Alexandria. Maximianus. First reign, AD 286-305. Potin Tetradrachm (21mm, 9.36 g, 12h). Dated RY 6 (AD 290/1). Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind / Herakles standing facing, head rightt, right hand on hip, leaning on club set on rock to left, lion’s skin draped over left arm; star in upper left field; L ϛ (date) across field. Köln –; Dattari (Savio) 5902; K&G 120.47; RPC X Online 76088; Emmett 4134.6 (R4). Brown patina with red and green deposits, roughness. Near VF. Rare.
