Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind / Eagle standing facing on filleted thyrsus, head and tail left, with wings displayed, holding wreath in beak; between legs, mask of Silenus left; wine cup in exergue. Meshorer 94 var. (obv. legend); RPC V.3 Online 1742; Prieur 1620A; Sofaer –. Light luster, spots of find patina. Good VF. Very rare, only one known to Prieur, and seven in RPC. |
