Anonymous. Circa 217-215 BC. Æ Triens (36.5mm, 52.10 g, 6h). Rome mint. Head of Juno right, wearing diadem decorated with crest of helmet; •••• (mark of value) to left / Hercules standing right, holding club with which he is about to strike the centaur Nessus, whom he grasps by the hair of his head; •••• (mark of value) to right. Crawford 39/1; Sydenham 93; RBW 104. Dark brown-green patina, scratches and a few shallow pits on reverse. Near Fine.
