Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust left / City gate with two turrets, without doors, star above; PLON. RIC VII 298; RML 1120; C&T 10.02.008; C. King, “The Appleford Hoard” in RBN CXXIII (1977) p. 66, 1550-7 (this coin one of). Dark green-brown patina with some toned trace silvering. VF.
