EGYPT, Alexandria. Commodus. As Caesar, AD 166-177. Æ Diobol (24mm, 11.43 g, 12h). Dated RY 20 of Marcus Aurlelius (AD 179/80). Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind / Draped bust of Harpocrates right, wearing skhent and holding finger to lips; behind, club surmounted by hawk; L K (date) across field. Köln –; Dattari (Savio) 3838; K&G 41.19; RPC IV.4 3367.1 (this coin); Emmett 2504.20 (R5). Brown patina, light porosity, reverse die erasure. VF. Extremely rare, only two recorded in RPC.

RPC online notes that there is an additional letter in the upper left field of the reverse, possibly an extra K. It was erased from the die and later recut as an A to create the dies for RY 21. (See RPC 3365 for the same type for year 21.)
