Laureate head right / Serpent Agathodaemon, wearing skhent, on horseback galloping left; L IA (date) below. Köln 380; Dattari (Savio) –; RPC II 2637; K&G 24.150 var. (horse right); Emmett 277.11 (R3). Rough red-brown surfaces, flan cracks. Good Fine. Very rare.

The changing of the seasons is represented by the horse while the regeneration or rebirth of the crops is represented by the serpent. All of Egyptian life was dependent on this cycle.
