Draped bust right, wearing stephane and necklace; c/m: B in oval incuse / Agonistic prize crown inscribed ΘЄOΓAMIA, containing two palm fronds. Kurth –; RPC VIII Online 66151; Regling, Nysa 177. The Theogamian Games were held in honor of the marriage of Hades and Persephonone and several coin types with wreathes and crowns were minted in its honor. These games were first held by Philip I and then again by Valerian I.
