Hoover notes (HGC 10, p. 106) “An anonymous bronze series inscribed with the date “Year 1 of Rome” has been occasionally attributed to Gadara in the past, but fabric and style suggest a mint in Southern Syria.” Hoover gives this coin a rarity rating of Scarce but there are only seven recorded in CoinArchives.
