Otacilia Severa. Augusta, AD 244-249. AR Antoninianus (21mm, 3.20 g, 7h). Antioch mint. 2nd series of Philip I. M OTACIL SEVERA AVG, draped bust right, wearing stephane, set on crescent / P M TR P IIII COS II P P, Philip standing left, holding transverse scepter and sacrificing with patera over altar to left. Bland Study –; RIC IV –; RSC –; Tkalec (29 February 2000), lot 355 (same dies). Rich toning, flan crack, minor porosity. Good VF. An extremely rare hybrid with a reverse intended for Philip I or II. Unknown to Bland.
