Bare head of Pompey the Great right / Spanish city-goddess, wearing mural crown and holding caduceus, advancing right, presenting wreath to Pompeian soldier holding spear, standing facing; to right, another city-goddess, wearing mural crown and holding trophy over left shoulder, advancing left. This type was likely issued shortly before the Battle of Munda. It is part of a series of denarii struck under M. Minatius Sabinus advertising the support of the Spanish cities for the Pompeian cause.
