GAUL, Central. Arverni. Circa 50-30 BC. Æ (16.5mm, 2.09 g, 7h). Helmeted head right; EPAD to right (traces visible) / Warrior standing left, holding ensign, sword, and shield; helmet on ground below. Depeyrot, NC III, 238; D&T 3607; CCCBM III 177. Brown patina, some roughness. Fine.

Some catalogs attribute this issue to the Arverni chieftain Epasnactus, who was mentioned in Caesar's Gallic War as an ally of the Romans.
