The ruler’s name in the bottom line of the reverse field was read by Leimus as Ahmad b. Almysh, but it has also been suggested that it might be a blundered version of Ahmad b. Isma‘il, the Samanid amir. The mint-name is also blundered, and could be imitating al-Shash instead of Naysabur
