COIN CABINET: A large mahogany coin cabinet by Swann of Heddon-on-the-Wall. . A plain open-fronted cabinet with twenty-four (of originally thirty) trays with twin brass handles, double-pierced for coins of various sizes, with black felts (a few felts lacking and a small number of other colours); originally with lockable retaining bar to secure trays in place (this lacking and lock removed). 40 cm wide x 32.5cm deep x 36 cm high. Lacking six trays, some scuffs and wear and tear from use (probably as a dealer’s stock cabinet), some of the remaining trays with sticker residue but generally in sound, usable condition; a large and useful cabinet.

The trays are pierced for coins of the following sizes:

20 trays for 56 coins up to 35mm
4 trays for 42 coins up to 41mm

Please note that six trays are missing, and the cabinet contains twenty-four trays of the original thirty.
